Malta Port

Is Malta worth visiting?

Yes! Malta is a unique blend of 7,000 years of history, crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, and vibrant culture. It's an ideal destination for history enthusiasts, divers, and sun-seekers alike. Despite being a small country, Malta offers an incredible variety of experiences. Here, centuries of history meet stunning coastlines, allowing you to spend your morning exploring UNESCO-listed cities and your afternoon swimming in turquoise lagoons.

With year-round sunshine, Malta is one of the best places to visit in Europe during the winter. The island boasts a thriving food scene and some of the most breathtaking coastal views in Europe, making it one of my favourite destinations. A short ferry ride from the main island takes you to Comino, home of the famous Blue Lagoon—a perfect spot for swimming in water so clear it seems almost unreal. You can find my full guide on visiting the Blue Lagoon here.

If you seek a quieter experience, nearby Gozo, the second-largest island in Malta, offers rolling countryside, rugged cliffs, and a slower pace of life, ideal for a more relaxed getaway. Whether you're planning a summer vacation or visiting during the cooler months when the crowds are smaller, Malta truly has something for every type of traveler.
