The Canary Islands, also known as the Canaries, are a Spanish archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 100 kilometres west of Morocco. This autonomous community is Spain's southernmost region and comprises seven main islands: Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro. The islands are known for their volcanic origins, diverse landscapes, and rich cultural heritage.
